IMPACTED OR MISSING TEETH
Many times patients present with impacted teeth that are stuck in the bone and not able to erupt properly in the mouth. If these are wisdom teeth, they are usually removed or if it is an impacted canine tooth or premolar tooth, these teeth usually can be exposed and brought in with the orthodontic appliances. This will allow for proper bite alignment of your teeth and prevent you from having to have crowns, partials, or implants later on in life. Missing teeth likewise are a common problem and replacement of the missing teeth by orthodontically aligning the teeth on either side to provide proper positioning of the teeth so that an implant crown can be placed in the spot of the missing tooth or it may be determined that due to the crowding present the missing tooth area can be used to relieve the crowding of the teeth and the teeth aligned therefore eliminating the need for replacement of the tooth with a bridge, partial, or implant.
