| RISKS OF ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT |
|
| The major risk of orthodontic treatment is improper brushing of the reeth allowing cavities or decalcification of the teeth to occur. This can be due to improper diet with remaining sugars left in the mouth causing decay and irritations to the gum tissue or from poor or improper brushing techniques. With proper nutrition, brushing, flossing, and regular dental check-ups, the possibility of having discolored teeth or cavities or gum problems are kept to a minimum. |
